Description

The maintenance-free, microprocessor-controlled AERASGARD® KFTM – LQ – CO2 – Modbus or KCO2 – Modbus / KLQ – CO2 – Modbus with Modbus connection, optionally with / without display, is for duct installation and is used to record all measured variables relevant to a room climate. For this purpose, the parameters air humidity, temperature, CO2 concentration and air quality (VOC) are measured. By recording all four measured variables in one device, the entire room climate can be effectively monitored and controlled. It measures CO2 in the range of 0 … 5000 ppm, VOC in one of three selectable sensitivity levels LOW / MEDIUM / HIGH, temperatures in the range of -35 … + 80 ° C and the relative humidity of 0 … 100% R.H.

The relative humidity (% r.H.) is the quotient of the water vapor partial pressure and the saturation vapor pressure at the respective gas temperature. A digital, long-term stable sensor as a measuring element for relative humidity and temperature guarantees exact measurement results.

The CO2 content of the air is determined by means of an optical NDIR sensor (non-dispersive infrared technology). The detection range of the sensors is based on standard applications such as B. Living and meeting room surveillance calibrated. Need-based ventilation, increased well-being and customer benefit, increased comfort and a reduction in operating costs through energy savings are just some of the results of using the AERASGARD® CO2.

The above statements show that there are applications for CO2 measurements, applications for VOC measurements, but from our point of view primarily applications for the combination of the measured variables. It is important here that these two measured variables cannot be converted into one another or derivations can be made from one another. An NDIR-CO2 measuring device measures selectively and cannot detect any VOCs, while a VOC mixed gas sensor cannot detect any CO2 molecules.
